Movie Trailer of the Day: First official teaser trailer for Samuel Bayer’s A Nightmare on Elm Street remake/franchise reboot.

The film, which stars Jackie Earle Haley as burn-victim-slash-slasher Freddy Krueger, is due in theaters April 30, 2010.

the first few seconds are me thinking “this looks kinda badass” and then it kept going and i realized that “reboot” is just another word for “shoot the movie with all of the memorable scenes from the original but give performances that make you question why the idea for a remake was even brought up”…

mr. haley, you are terrifying but you’re no freddie.
